Army Day

Army Day in India is celebrated on 15th January of every year. Army Day is celebrated in order to honor Lieutenant General K. M. Cariappa, the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army on 15 January 1949.

Army Day Parade and other military shows are performed on this Army Day in Delhi as well as in all headquarters.



On 15 January 2018, India is going to celebrate its 69th Indian Army day in New Delhi.

Army Day is celebrated to pay homage to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect the country and the people living in it.

Army Day Parade is carried out by the Indian Army Soldiers to celebrate the Army Day. The Army Day Parade involves the exhibition of BLT T-72, T-90 tanks, Brahmos Missile, carrier Mortar Tracked Vehicle, 155 MM Soltum Gun, Advanced Light Helicopters of the Army Aviation Corps and etc.



On this day, Indian Armies take a pledge to serve the nation with their services and protect the nation from the enemies.
